WAVELAND - Mrs. Beatrice R. Wege, 79, of Rt. 16, Brazil, and formerly of Waveland, died Tuesday in Pine Haven Nursing Home at Evansville. She had been in failing health for three years. She was born in Oklahoma, a daughter of Harry L. and Mary Couch Marts. Mrs. Wege was a member of Calvary Baptist Church at Brazil. She was first married to Harry Shaul who is deceased. She was married to Alfred Wege in 1950 at St. Louis. He also is deceased. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Doris Mitchell of Muscatine, Iowa; a son, Richard Shaul of Brazil; three sisters, Mrs. Arlyn Alexander of Sewell, N.J., and Mrs. Valera Burri and Mrs. Velma Thomason of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, Glenn Marts of Wichita; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Private graveside rites will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Waveland Presbyterian Cemetery. The family has asked that contributions be made to Liberty Mountain Fund at Liberty Baptist College, Lynchburg, Va. – jlr
